On their 3rd effort Pride of Lions achieved to create an AOR masterpiece. The quality of the songwriting, the hooklines and the rich production brings the listener to a state of joy. Toby Hitchcock with his outstanding performance proves that he's becoming one of the best AOR vocalists of all times. Superb voice, passionate style and lungs! The mastermind of P.O.L., Jim Peterik, gave us a record full of emotions, vibrations and passion. In my opinion a lot of AOR/Melodic Rock groups out there should hear and learn.

So what do we have here? The album of the year? Excuse me if I feel this way, but nothing compares to this. Many have tried in the recent past, but no one captured the raging soul of the '80s. I consider myself overjoyed that fate brought me to this! In a few words: "Book Of Life" is superb intellectual AOR, while "Love's Eternal Flame" is one of Peterik's best songs since the days of "Vital Signs". "Language Of The Heart" is running through our veins and "Let Me Let You Go" is a hard driven rocker. Finally "Turnaround" is the anthem of 2007 and "Defying Gravity" has great chorus and guitar work. There's no track that fails our expectations. Simply Awesome!!!
