The
"End of an Era" is the last
one show that Nightwish gave with
Tarja on vocals and this happened
in their homeland, Finland, in which
almost each release of theirs enters
in the top-ten of charts. The band
behaves extremely professional and
does not give you the chance to think
that their streets separate. The performance
of the songs is excellent, Tarja makes
everything she wants with her voice
and Marco Hietala sings with a lot
of passion (which covers some mistakes
that he makes). Moreover all songs
are from the three late albums ("Wishmaster",
"Century Child", "Once")
and no one from the first two. This
is at the negative side, because they
are very good albums and constitute
a part of their history, plus they
do not have so many albums to leave
outside some of them. Moreover there
are the exceptional covers that have
made in the "High Hopes"
(Pink Floyd) and "Over the Hills
and Far Away" (Gary Moore). As
generally speaking, "End of an
Era" is a release that the fans
of the group will like and will also
want it for sentimental reasons.
