"Gods
of Dogs" is the second full
length album of the Italian Lost
Moon. The band follows a hard rock/heavy
metal direction, with many references
from nu-metal and alternative rock.
Contrary to the quite impressing
cover of the album, that makes you
expect some sort of heavy metal masterpiece,
after the first hearing of the whole
album your expectations are ruined.
Personally, I found "Gods of
Dogs" quite indifferent. There
was no inspiration in the music and
some things are quite typical. Most
of the rhythm of the songs is repeating
and doesn’t help the pace of
the album. The lyrics are no exception
of the mediocrity, but the production
is quite well. In conclusion, "King
of Dogs" is a rather weak release
that you should check before purchasing
it. |
