Innosense's
debut demo CD called "Life"
will definitely impress you. The young
band from Larissa (for foreign readers,
a city in middle Greece) releases
this two-track demo CD under the auspices
of Warcry Entertainment Group, a label
that primary is known for organizing
live events. Their precious support
has safekept a place in the bill of
many lives, among them with Sieges
Even and Evergrey. Naturally the skeptic
reader questions himself "Do
they worth it?". Yes my friends.
By all means they were worthy of this
honor and most definitely they are
worthy of your attention. Beware,
this is not one of the regular phrases
that sometimes in our enthusiasm we
use. This is the truth. Don't lose
the chance to meet the band, because
you'll regret it.
The fans of melodic
progressive metal will find their
paradise here. They will find a band
that perfectly blends progressive
metal with a passionate performance.
They have the privilege to have in
their ranks probably the best singer
in Greece since Giannis Koutselinis
of Deceptor (now in Biomechanical).
Vasilis Georgiou is a great singer
that can easily compete any of the
famous foreign singers. His skills
reach to the outer and most unimaginable
limits that Roy Khan has set. In fact
their whole music is very close to
Conception's last opus "Flow",
while it is also influenced by Queesryche
and Sieges Even. This is not the most
innovative version of progressive
metal you have heard, however it's
a version full of freshness and robustness.
Everything is in the right place.
The solos of Aristotelis Papageorgiou
are "well-weighted" and
augment the melodic aspect of their
music. Nikos Tsiogas' keys are
discrete and fill in their sound properly,
while the rhythm section of Michalis
Maroulis and Vasilis Liakos is simply
exceptional. The refrains stick to
your mind. I found myself many times
singing the chorus of "On and
On", a track that reflects the
young and fervent spirit of the band,
but -to my personal view- "The
Fall" is something you can hear
everyday, especially from a Greek
band. "Life" is a proof
that professionalism is based on the
passion and the will of dedicated
and well structured personalities
and not on talking (we had enough
of this in this country).
Allow me a prediction;
their star is destined to shine. If
they stay focused, as this demo CD
shows they are, they will offer us
things that we can't imagine.
I hope that they will not lose their
way as many other great bands (remember
Oblivion?). As for you, get in contact
now with the band and ask their demo
CD, which by the way is well packaged
in a digipack slim case. As I said
before, don't lose them, 'cause
you will regret it
