The brand new album
of Firewind is out and I didn't hesitate
purchasing it since I wanted to know
how the band would evolve after their
second L.P. release "Between
Heaven and Hell". Well the first
thing you notice when you listen to
"Forged By Fire" is that
the guys are full of energy to compose
ultimate and authentic heavy riffs.
Gus G. is at his best, composing heavy
stuff and brilliant solo parts, and
the band is ready to begin a new journey
into the heavy metal surroundings
since the line up has been alternated
with the addition of a fifth member,
the well-known virtuoso keyboard player
Bob Katsionis, and with a new great
singer in its availability, Chity
Somapala.
"Forged by Fire"
is full of pure heavy/power tracks
that will certainly satisfy everyone's
taste for listening good heavy music.
Another thing that amazed the most
is the outstanding song "Feast
of the Savages" where Gus G.
meets and jams along with the guitar
lord Marty Friedman. "Forged
by Fire" is a good opportunity
for the metal community globally to
find out what the Greek musicians
are capable of doing when they collaborate
with each other and maybe make the
Greek music community see things from
another point of view in order everyone
to contribute in what we say a strong
heave metal market in Greece.
