Fate is a Danish band which exists from 1980 and has released five albums. "V" is the last one and the first that I listen. They play melodic hard rock with contemporary sound. The production is great, all the instruments sound very clearly. Also it is obvious that they enjoy with that they do and this gives a positive image for this release. Perhaps the problem is that the vocals belong to the "love it or hate it" category, but surely the lack of a lot of ideas is a problem. Moreover, all songs are based on riffs with breaks or on atmospheric keyboards, except two tracks "Memories Won’t Die’ and the ballad ‘Life’, which contains amazing melodies. There are beautiful riffs and refrains, but they are not enough. An album needs bigger variety in order not to become boring.
