After Hammerfall's triple success many new groups have come out, eager to walk on the same path and breathe life into the traditional melodic heavy metal sound. But they were only few who could make a difference in quality and genuineness in order to distinguish themselves from the mediocre majority. And I'm always glad to see them carry on at the same high levels with a continuance on their releases, because it's a pity that some talented bands are vanishing in a blink of an eye, since they don't get the proportional attention from the metal world.

Dream Evil consists of 5 talented musicians-composers that are creating magnificent song-metal hymns that can easily mislead you and think of those as property of a megalithic heavy metal group like ACCEPT, DIO, OZZY (are you satisfied with your worldwide humiliation?) JUDAS PRIEST etc. Dream Evil have already released 3 albums and there is no sign of "adulthood" and mediocrity in their compositions. I'm pretty sure this might not be the ideal album for a young "Slipknot" fan but it can be considered as a masterpiece by all the heavy/power metal fans out there, especially those near the age of 30 that have more or less lived in the golden metal decade of the 80's. This cd will stick in your player for a long time and it will certainly push your speakers to the limit, since the only way you'll be able to enjoy it on the whole is to play it on ten.

I'd really love to see them live at this moment of their career but a live 2cd/dvd release would also do the trick. Fans of old-good heavy metal this is definitely for you. As for the rest do your studies; you will only need "The Book of Heavy Metal".
