Do I have to say anything for the best Polish album of the year? Delight is an awesome band, and they've just released their fourth and so long awaited (for me at least) album called "ANew"... This release cannot be compared with none of those great times of their past, such as "The Fading Tale", "The Hand" nor even "Stained Glass"! "Anew" is better by far that anything I would expect to listen from Paula and her friends! The band seems so mature and different that I couldn't even recognize them in the beginning! They moved further into new a musical experience but without changing totally their style... The well known "gothic" guitars and the rhythm sections are now accompanied by lots of electronics, loops and samples very similar to Evanescence and other catchy bands like them, but "Delight" managed to capture the good parts of them only! I have to notice though, that the greatest change is in Paula's vocals! I could say that they changed their front-woman but no, Paula's voice is far better than the past, in addition to the backing "angelic" vocals of her, she sounds fantastic! I was a little dissapointed in the beginning just because they changed their "gothic" music style, but this change is for real and it's for their good (time will tell for sure)! Their artwork is by far the best they had so far and so are their photos! "Anew" also includes (their best so far) video clip of the new track: Emotune. As you can imagine from my review, "Anew" is the best album they've released, and in comparison to other bands, I would say that "Delight" have reach the unreachable for a Polish band... Relax and enjoy one of the best albums of this year!
