One of the new bands that shocked me with their releases and that I declare to be their fan are Adagio. Mastermind is one of the top young composers-guitarists Stephan Forte. I am sure that all of those who have listened to his first two releases will agree with me (especially if they enjoy Neoclassic Power). For those who didn't happen to listen to them, I would introduce them as the European answer to Symphony X, with more references to Kansas than Rush.

A while ago their third studio work was released and for one thing I was impressed once more. The composing abilities of Stefan Forte are amazing and we don't need "Dominate" to confirm it. He puts elements in their sound that someone can find in more extreme kinds of metal. The growling vocals from Forte have enhanced the melodic Neoclassic Power Metal, making thus an even darker sound. The keyboards are less affective synthetically in their music than the previous CDs, but where they participate astonish us once again. On the vocals there is another unbelievable phenomenon. Whenever you listen to his presence he makes a great result making "Dominate" on of the top albums of the year.

Bottom Line: Once more Stephan did an amazing job and with "Dominate" he proved how good and how open minded composer he is, apart from being a fascinating guitarist. Buy a gift to yourselves. Listen to any of their songs. Then everything will get on track as their discography will conquer your CD case.
