"Rock, rock
till you drop" as Def Leppard
state on their well-known song. Well
that’s the case with 286, but
it doesn’t mean they follow
the same hard rock path. I just used
the phrase to emphasize the will and
passion 286 share for rock and roll
and on their homonymous debut release
they continue from where they stopped
on 2005’s “Profiled”
EP.
With slogans like
"Rock and Roll is not Dead"
and "Emo Sucks", 286 are
offering to the fans of hard music
who adopt the same ideas, almost 36
minutes of pure “rock and roll”,
as they like to call it, or “Dirty
Rock” the way I to see it with
some punk and hard rock references.
Musically and interpretatively speaking
they prefer an old-fashioned approach
and production-wise they did their
best to pull that off. Clearly now,
286 never claimed that they discovered
America, or that they try to enrich
a weather-beaten genre blah blah blah…
They play what they like most and
what keeps their adrenaline flowing
and they do it the best possible way.
So if you can imagine
how Hard Rock and Roll sounds and
consider yourself a fan of this style
and if your collection is consisted
of albums from AC DC to Motley Crue
or even Ramones and some punk, then
286’s sound falls somewhere
between your musical likings and you
have discovered your next "heroes”.
A must-have for a Rock fan!!!
