Terrorspawn - Channeling The Quintessence Of Death (promo)
Tracklist:
01. We Shall Pray
02. Solitude... In Darkness
03. In thre Name of Death
04. Silence is your Only Savior

Catalans Terrorspawn created four tunes in all for this home-made product, which was unleashed mainly for promotional reasons. "Channeling The Quintessence Of Death" - Abigor or something?!?)is spawned by two people and can be easily compared to American death metal such as Immolation (mainly vocal wise, superb) when listening to the first song, "We Shall Pray". The 2nd tune kicks off with a riff reminiscent to the starting one from "Curse The Gods" before getting its leads thrown in. The involvement of these lads in doom metal projects - especially leading figure's called Bastard - plays a significant role in Terrorspawn as it soon turns more doomy, melodic(the rest two songs are evidential of what I'm writing). No doubt that Terrorspawn have created noticeable music, the point is that they don't define which path they're going to follow in the future. The mix of some ideas that aren't matching the whole output, even when they're well arranged, spoils the result. Hopefully this band will come back with an even better effort, to be called "Hatework". "Channeling…" is not available but you can download some tunes from their web-page. Check also Bastard's other bands Of Darkness (funeral doom), Solitude (epic doom) Dawn of Hate (black metal) and Graveyard (highly Dismember-influenced act).
