That's
the 3rd or 4th album so far for the
strangely named 8 Foot Sativa (with
a hemp as background on their logo!?)
and I was expecting something else
than Swedish mid-tempo type thrash/death
– the Gothenburg way, especially
with song titles such as "Altar
Of Obscenity", "Brutal Revenge"
and "Perpetual Torment".
The band came up with some good arrangements
that won't let the CD getting
dusty for this short period that it's
fresh; afterwards I'm afraid
this English-speaking quartet shall
not bother me quite often. Their audio
clothing is definitely worn-out and
even I feel the minimum of sympathy,
I can't help myself from closing
the door for purchasing this album
to the ones reading this review, at
least some songs deserve to be checked,
especially because they keep away
from pop/power metal melodies and
they have a certain way of composing
(and how shouldn't they after
so many albums?). Nuff said…
