Primitive Graven Image - "Demo 2006"
[Open Grave Productions, 2006]
Primitive Graven Image - Demo 2006
Tracklist:
01. The Night of Dokkalfur and Ljosalfur
02. None Shall Sstand
03. Of What We Have Become
04. The Journey to the Forest
05. For All Mankind
06. Blood Red Heart

Primitive Graven Image comes from England and recently they send to us through their new label, Open Grave Records, their latest demo CD. I can say this is a small taste before the release of their new album some time next year. To be honest with you I never expected to receive a black metal release from a band that comes from England, but anytime you can expect the first time. In this demo the band has included six tracks and twenty minutes full of black metal, hate, aggressive moments and gloomy atmosphere.

From the first song you can realize that this band adores the Norwegian black metal scene, but since they don’t come from this country, they are missing something. They don’t have the atmosphere and the feeling of a Norwegian band. Definitely their stuff, is enough good, at least you can hear some interesting ideas, but generally I believe they should work more in order to have a better result. I will wait for their new album in order to have a better picture of their music.
