Hailing from the
Baltic (Estonia),LOITS are one of
those bands balancing between the
NS and the "patriotic" black
metal fame, in matters of lyrical
approach. But you got to see the photos
taken for this release, perhaps you
won't consider them as artistic or
incredible but hold your stomach instead!
Including 12 songs, album brings to
mind early Satyricon but with some
originality-strane these days-excluding
the medieval atmosphere and introducing
more mid-tempo, almost rocking parts.
There's a great job done in terms
of production, only this of course
can't prove anything but certainly
is a point that makes the listener
instantly take "Vere Kutse Kohustab"
seriously. The songs have an average
duration of 4 mins. without many speed
variations, that surely harms the
attention put on the whole record,
on the other hand each song is altered
by the addition of some different
vocalisations or strange to the bm
genre's ears instruments (of their
native tradition).Not a regular recording,
more of a headbanging one I'd say,
helping Loits keep their reputation
on a high level and keep the Baltic
artillery strong and fearsome! |
