This one must have been in that pile I've found it for a long
time, so I owe these French dudes
a big SORRY. Last time I spinned it
was May - as far as I can remember,
holy shit! This is crunchy, fast,
grinding, brutal deadly metal. A lot
of tempo changes, kind of twisted
approach in all terms (abstract song
structure, two vocal types, a lot
of fast/blast drumming, plus unexpected
violent reactions from the innocent
listener) is what you can find in
"From Blast To Collapse".
Suitable title I admit, I collapsed
many times before I manage to maintain
my attention. Man, it's like blending
Despondency with Psycroptic and Emeth;
I don't know what else to say about
it! Yes, they are complex as (mind)fuck,
yet even if they weren't that much,
your conception of this whole would
be just reduced to a slimy piece of
blob. "Melting Brains" is
an old, demo-era Septic Flesh classic,
perhaps this band could record the
second part of it, being both musically
and lyrically similar. Good riffs
or repeated ones are all gone, this
kind of playing is not of my liking,
therefore "Bloody Ophiuchus"
is the only song that remained in
the few mind cells that were still
active after this. If it's not totally
sick and dark, can only be closer
to an empty record. No silly core
here, probably a cool act to see on
stage and mess up your evening, but
only but confusion remains. And a
needless remix of "Malformed
Pig Fetus" - should I try to
listen to a Malformed Earthborn recording
after this?!?
