Condemned - "...And That's How I Found Them"
[Self-Financed, 2005]

Tracklist:
01. Bits Of Her Everywhere
02. Leave Me Alone (Or I’ll Kill Again)
03. Almost Cannibal
04. Criteria For A Massacre

Despite the fact that I am usually not fond of demo CDs, I have to admit that this one, coming in a DVD case, is gore-geously presented. My compliments to the guy(s) who took care of the artwork On the other hand, it may be the promotional copy I got in my hands that's released this way, to prevent being misunderstood.

So far I knew only a bunch of Irish bands, with the closest to Condemned's sound being Primal Dawn and Abaddon Incarnate. So, we're dealing with another death metal act that has been embalmed since'94. Thus, it had to be well-played at least, and not laid upon horrible production etc. No, this is not suffering at all, it's the listener the one who does, as in these four numbers included you'll find yourself drown in viscera of victims young & unknown. That's the stigma of Condemned, death metal with double vocalization to the gory end. Not ultra guttural, neither hyper-blasting, kinda like UK's southern brothers Gorerotted, yet lot more rhythmic and technical (Cryptopsy-wise maybe?) simultaneously.

You know my likes, they're far from today's murder/gore metal, though the appropriate judge is a pair of ears for each. Well, the best number among all four my ears think, is the closer "Criteria For A Massacre". And this release is a good buy for all you bloodthirsty freaks out there. Condemned are out for many years now, shouldn't we crave for more from them?
